Conversation One

A: Good morning. What seems to be the problem?

B: Well, I've been having really bad pains near my chest area. I've been struggling to get any sleep or go to work, because of the pain!

A: I'm going to press on your stomach, tell me where it hurts.

(After checking)

B: Yes.That's where it hurts most.

A: Okay, so it seems that you have abdominal pain.

B: What’s that?

A: Abdomen refers to your stomach. So, you have stomach pains.

B: Yes, I remember. I gave you some ointment then, I think. What happened to the rash when you put it on?

A: It cleared up after a month or so. But it's come back again.

B: I see. Are there any animals in your house by any chance?

A: Well, I take care of my neighbor's cat when she is away.

B: And I suppose she's away at the moment, right?

A: Yes, that's right.

B: Were you also looking after it when you last had the rash?

A: Yes, I was, actually.

B: You might be allergic to cats.
